While I routinely attach my C300 MK III to a monopod sporting a fluid video head, I often find the need for greater stability, and that requires the transition to a tripod. To facilitate the rapid switch from one to the other, I have found that the Manfrotto MOVE Quick Release System works well. it supports the weight of the C300 and accessories without issue. The only caveat relates to the fact that the system base must be well tightened to the tripod/monpod, otherwise it will tend to rotate.
