Could you please let me know which external flashes are compatible with the Canon D90 camera? Additionally, could you suggest any recent models?

All Canon's speedlites ending in "EX" such as the 430EX II are fully compatible with your camera. The EL-1 and EL-100 are fully compatible too. The new EL-5 is incompatible with your camera. It is designed for use on EOS R series cameras with the new multi function hot shoe. Do you have a budget if so how much.

  • EL-100 (entry level)
  • 430EX III-RT (mid range)
  • EL-1 (professional level)

Yes it supports Full Auto bounce on your camera. It also supports manual bounce too. It supports E-TTL (Autoexposure for flash) and manual flash as well. I also own that speedlite it works very well too.

Thank you very much. Can I use 470EX-AI and operate it like manual too?

Will you be using the speedlite in low light. If so the speedlite can fire an AF Assist Beam. To aid the camera with AF in low light. When the camera is set to One Shot AF or AI Focus. AI Servo doesn't work with the AF Assist Beam.
