Edit: Added a photo showing the flash screen and camera LCD (24mm on my 24-70).
I just bought an El-5 and no matter what I do the auto zoom won’t work.
I can manually set zoom to a focal length but when on auto there are three dashes (- - -) and no focal length information. This is on an r6 mark ii and is the same for all lenses I’ve tried. RF and EF with converter. The camera has the focal length information on the back screen and it’s passing f-stop info to the flash but not focal length 😞
FWIW my camera is on the latest 1.1.2 FW. I’ve reset all flash settings, ensured the hot shoe is clean and fully seated etc….I even erased my camera and all setting but still no luck.
Any advice on what could be wrong?

If the flash is in the bounce position. The speedlite won't display the lens focal length. Also distance information for E-TTL II only works with direct flash.
