Just purchased my 600ex-rt and love it, but I can't seem to sync it with my 6D as a stand-alone slave. My camera options under [External Speedlite Control] called [Flash function settings] or [Flash C.Fn settings] keeps saying "This menu cannot be displayed. Incompatible flash or flash's power is turned off." My camera WiFi is turned on. I have the flash on ETTL (slave) mode. They both are displaying the entanna as on, but when I fire off my camera the flash doesn't fire off. Anyone help me here?

I think you also posted in the EOS forum and I responded there.
The 6D does not have a built-in radio or optical controller. It does have the on-camera menus to control the flash provided it's in the hot-shoe OR that you have either a speedlight controller or a 2nd speedlight with a built-in controller.
You'd want to either get a 2nd 600EX-RT (which is what I did) or you can get an ST-E3-RT (which has the same buttons, LCD, and menu as the speedlight... but without the light and it's an on-camera radio controller to talk to off-camera radio flashes.)

Thank you I did get the information just as you've described. Thanks a million!
