IS the Godox TT685 compatible with with the Canon Rebel T7 for TTL and HSS ?

@jkeenan18 that is a manual flash so no E-TTL or HSS. Earlier production run models lack the center contact on the hot shoe. If this is the case with your camera you can only use Canon’s own flashes.

What is the letter that comes after “TT685? If it shows the letter “C”, that stands for Canon version and thus, compatible with Canon DSLRs. it is incompatible if the letter is different ( N- Nikon, F- Fujifilm, O- Olympus ).

@atam1 that camera lacks the center pin on the hot shoe. It will only fire the E-TTL pre-flash but not the main flash. Then if it’s a manual flash it won’t fire at all. No 3rd party flash works on that camera nor has any 3rd party successfully reverse engineered it.

Your T7 must have a 5-pin hot shoe to make ETTL/HSS work. Newer T7/2000D models have a center pin. Good luck!

@atam1 yes it would work on a 5 pin model. But if the OP’s isn’t it won’t work at all. Canon’s flashes don’t need the center pin at all. The camera reports the Tv to the flash. Then the flash internally calculates when to fire.
