this fast moving flycatcher is a challenging subject to shoot - you really have to anticipate and you end up with a lot of cut off shots (or at least I do!).  Fortunately, I got some nice captures of these two hunting (separately) in the Sepulveda Basin Wildlife Reserve in Southern California.

Michael,

Your patience paid off well.

Great shots.  I love that their song matches their name - makes it really easy.  They even answer if you just say "Pheebee" loudly.  Had a nice convo with one in a bare sycamore this am.

>> Owns/Owned both Canon EOS mirrorless full-frame and APS-C cameras and associated RF, RF-S and EF adapted lenses - inventory tends to change on short notice. Same for flashes, tripods, bags, straps, etc.
Plus>> Canon imagePROGRAF PRO-1100 Printer
>>The opinions and assistance are my own. Please don't blame Canon for any mistakes on my part.

I'll try that the next time I see one!
