Low Tide - Newport Beach

EOS R5 / RF 35MM Macro

f/22 - 2.9 sec.

I made this photo during low tide in Newport Beach just as a storm system was inbound. The swell was coming in and crashing on the rocks just off shore. I used a ND filter to maintain a proper exposure while dragging the shutter to capture the movement in the water.

Great capture. Has a three-dimensional look.

Great to see you post!!!!

The composition is great and particularly with the longer exposure time that contrasts the craggy rocks against the soft flowing water

The mark of good photographer is less what they hold in their hand, it's more what they hold in their head;
