I was looking at some of the first photos I shot when I first began photography. The first camera I ever bought was in April 2020 and it was the Rebel SL3. I adored that camera and I still have it. Again, I'm stickler for shooting the same thing over and over until I find something that works. I could never get the right angle that pleased me, so, I continued to take a photo of this location each time I passed it. Glad I did because it no longer looks the same. Definitely didn't understand the exposure triangle at the time, so, I just made adjustments until it looked right to me. Who shoots at ISO 1600 in the middle of day at a shutter speed of 1/4000 (lol). Anyway, thought I'd share it with you all. I would know exactly what to do if I had to take this photo today. Not to say I am any better at taking photos than when I started, however, I have learned a lot in these last 4 years and will continue to learn as long as I continue to make photos. I love to experiment and try different things, so, I am not afraid to try or go against the rules. It's been part of my learning experience my entire life.
Rebel SL3. 10-18mm EF 4.5-5.6 IS STM. ISO 1600. Shutter 1/4000. F/5.6. This is just totally hilarious to me right now. hahahaha

My inner retail nerd would love to know what this Fun n' Food place used to be.

This was once Hickory Hall Mall and one of the best malls in Nashville in the 90's. It stayed full and traffic was a nightmare. It lost a lot of customers and, eventually, closed down. Some guy bought it and tried to revitalize it but it never took off. I think this was supposed to be a fun zone and food court to encourage customers to check out the rebranding of the mall, but, it failed miserably.

Vulture678,
That's actually a nice shot, as shots go.
Back when I was trying to decide on an upgrade from a T6, it came down to a choice between an SL3 and a T8i. I chose the T8i, but the SL3 is a nice little camera.

Thanks and I was deciding between the same two cameras as you (lol). I thought the T8i was going to be a little bit more than what I could handle at the time.
