Summer Breeze

MPBACK
Rising Star
Rising Star

Shot in the very photogenic Donegal, Ireland.  The day I visited here the wind was blowing off and on with short gusts of wind.  I shot several photos at various shutter speeds both to enhance the blur of the grasses and freeze the motion.  Used my EOS R5 and RF 24-105 f4 L lens.

Intended as a compliment: This is the kind of image that IKEA sells a zillion of in large scale prints. Wonderful image with great mass appeal.

Nice shot MPBACK !

I like the vibrant golden yellow hue of the grasses, which appear to glow in the light, creating a vivid contrast against the deep turquoise Atlantic waters of Tullagh bay.  The long marram grass blowing in the wind adds a sense of movement and texture to the scene, while the distant land and mountains provide a grounded rugged backdrop.  The cumulus cloud formation enhance the landscape by adding depth, drama, and a perfect visual balance.

The Canon RF 24-105mm F4 L IS USM in my opinion is the ultimate one-lens-army for the RF mount system.  It balances professional-tier optics with incredible versatility and freedom.  t's my go to lens when traveling.

I like the way you captured the movement in the grasses, the sea and the clouds. When I've been on the Irish West coast, I always take a moment and look across the seascape,  and think, next stop America. A lot of history in that location.

And it's always windy, so need a tripod!
