These quite nice looking flowers have been all over our local hedgerows this Spring and Summer. It was only when I did Dr google that I found they are bindweed. They are a predatory plants that uses other plants for support (hence the name) and often kill their host. So here you can see one at work, wrapped around another attractive flower.
