It was taken at Tift Nature Preserve, Buffalo NY USA. There are actually two birds on the platform and I think they were eating a large fish. It was very windy which allowed the other bird to hover before actually landing.

cool.  you nust have been pretty close.  Nice they dont mind.  Love watchng osprey.

Its not the camera that catches the shot.  It is the person.  1/2 gear, 1/2 person and 1/2 post editing.  Not necessarily in that order or percentage.
