St Petersburg is a city I have always wanted to visit, although my niece said she was plagued by mosquitos when she visited there. The Winter Palace would definitely be on the agenda, and the government has done an amazing restoration job to bring it back from the wreck left by Nazi Germany in WWII.
I am not sure about the length of the lines to see it! Would I be correct in saying this was not taken in the last year or so?
cheers, TREVOR

Hi @Trevor,
2017. November. We rarely travel in the summertime to avoid the crowds. One drawback is the weather, and why many of my shots are always dreary sky.
This year Alaska in summer so I should have some penguins and blue skies

Well, that can have its advantages - less contrasty images can be a plus. I hope you have a great trip to Alaska!!!
cheers, TREVOR
