Watcher of the Skies (Feb 2017) - In early in 2017, I did a road trip around the Gulf States on a rented car. This photo was taken at the Bahla Fort, in Oman—an UNESCO World Heritage Site. Closing time, we had just been ordered to leave the fort. As I was walking to the exit, I saw this security guard overlooking the crowd (and he saw me!). Through gestures, I asked him if I could take the shot, and he consented.
