Sometime luck just falls your way and while the weather wasn't great spending time in Alaska is still incredible. Rules dictate how close you can approach animals by boat and we got as close as we could without disturbing these Stellar Sea Lions. Wish I would have packed the RF200-800mm and the 1.4X for this trip.

Cool shot Marc. Thanks for sharing . We are hoping/planning to get to AK June of 2027. I plan to take everything! For CA this year my overhead bin suitcase had clothes and the checked bag and backpack were all camera equipment. Who needs clothes when you can pack more camera equipment! Thanks also go to the wife who shared her checked bag with me for hiking gear. If you have the time you might put together a "Travel experience and lessons learned for those headed to Alaska" thread. I'm assuming I wouldn't be the only one interested.
