Malin Head, Northern Ireland

I shot this photo during a recent trip to Northern Ireland.  The light was fading, which seemed to make the location all the more mysterious.

I used my EOS R5 and my RF 24-104 f4 L zoom lenz.

I don't know why, but all I could think of, was giant rock trolls marching to the sea, with little ones in tow.

Steve Thomas

I could definitely imagine that too Steve!  Haha...

I like the photo you made. It brings back memories.

I seem to remember that some of the scenes for one of the Star Wars movies were filmed there.

I was last in Inishowen in 2013.  I used older technology and could not yet afford enough storage to record raw. My wife had an Irish import business before we retired.

I made the 12 photos for this mosaic about 45 kilometers from Malin Head: https://www.a-wee-bit-of-ireland.com/eire_2013/2013aug04_Stroove_mosaic.html

This is a mosaic of photos made on August 4, 2013 and combined later. The place is near Moville, Inishowen, County Donegal, Ireland. I made the photos standing near GPS coordinates (55.2362111,-6.9276901). A legend associated with this place says that Columbcille (also called St. Columba) stopped here for one last look at Ireland before exiling himself to Scotland. This is a mosaic of photos made on August 4, 2013 and combined later. Thanks so much. I really do appreciate it!

Thanks for your kind words.  The areas I visited in northern Ireland, seem to be made for movies like Star Wars.  I took the photos from Ireland were taken while on a excellent photo tour workshop.  https://chasinglight.tours/ One of the other photos I took was from Dark Hedges.  That location was featured in the Game of Thrones series.
Also, thanks for sharing your photos and website.  You have some real nice shots there.
