I been doing photography for 9 months now not self taught and been given a lot of constructive criticism and compliments tell me what yall think

Good starting image; it has a lot to work with. I like how the vegetation reflection frames the duck. You generally don't want to have your subject merge with the edges of the frame or cut off part of the subject so that it looks like an error. Some cropping and removal of grass piece puts more emphasis on the duck. Also places the duck's head at the 1/3 point (one of the four points where the 3x3 grids cross). Material on left side is a distraction. The bright area at top attracts the eye. Free Canon DPP4 software is a powerful tool. That is what I used to tweak your image.
