At the moment, I am not finding a lot that truly excites me visually, so I put the Lensbaby Sweet 22 on my R100 and shot random things like this empty shopping cart abandoned in the middle of a road adjacent to an open field. I skewed the contrast. I do things like this whenever I feel dead-ended creatively, not because I think the result will be sooooo amazing, but just to force the cogs to turn.

Very cool and random grab Lee!

Not sure why but as soon as I opened up the image full size it made me smile. Shopping cart in the middle of nowhere but it looks like it belongs there......

I was going to go back and shoot it conventionally but in the time I drove home to switch out the lens and return, not more than 10 minutes later, it was gone.

As soon as I saw it originally I was like "da##it I have the Lensbaby lens on my camera."

My daughter thought I was silly switching out the lens and hurrying back. I very nearly bought my Pentax 17 with me for the random drive around and I am no kicking myself for not doing so.

I have a love/hate relationship with the Lensbaby Sweet 22. The focus fall off is extreme--it's obviously marketed that way--but it's extremely extreme on an R8.

I have to say I like what the Sweet 22 provided on this frame, fate must have agreed since it was gone.

@March411 My daughter suggested color skewing the original. Sharpness, saturation, and contrast maxed out with highlights reduced 50%.

That's pretty wild @LeeP, I like it! All the leading lines bring you back to the cart. This image would have sold big in the 70's

What did your daughter think of the end result?

She thought it was pretty wild. It feels like I need to turn my genuine Lava Lites on to enjoy it. Thanks for putting up with the foolishness. Whenever I am not getting traction creatively, I will wreck a few images just to be doing something "creative". I believe that those "good creative" moments happen among many moments of attempted creativity where the result is "meh".

Objects outside of their natural environments sometimes make for interesting photo. A shopping cart in the desert, rather than at the grocery store is a fine example.
