imageFORMULA R10: CaptureOnTouch Pro updates

I recently bought an ImageFormula R10 and have been trying to make sure I have the latest software, presuming there are any updates available.

I know it comes with the built-in OnTouchLite sofware, but in browsing the Canon site for information, I've found indications of CaptureOnTouch Pro V4.5 as well as V5. But are either of those meant to be used with/by this R10 scanner?

I don't want screw up anything on the scanner, though I always prefer to have the latest software if possible. But since this scanner comes with the software built-in, would whatever gets installed on my PC by the 'Pro' versions even be used?

Any advice or suggestions will be appreciated. Thanks.

It couldn't hurt to try!  The worst thing it will do is notify you that it's not compatible.

I have the same question.. I recently purchased the R10 but I'm having trouble finding alternative software to use with it.  The "Lite" version seems pretty limited.  I'm specifically looking for a way to auto-save rather than having to click a button on screen when scanning is complete. I plan to return the unit unless I can figure something out within a few days.
