Since the update to MacOS Sequoia i have experienced the following issues while using the CaptureOnTouch (for Mac)
• Scanner timed out warnings.
• No paper in scanner messages when paper is loaded.
• Multiple instances where the scanner fails to scan, requiring us to power it off or even unplug it for a reset.
• The need to manually select the scanner before each use.
• Occasional full system shutdowns to restore functionality.
To add to this I'm unable to use other scanning software because there are no drivers listed for MacOS Sequoia and no other software is able to detect the scanner. Is anyone else experiencing anything similar and able to offer some workarounds?

Please disconnect the scanner from your computer and then click the link below and download/install the Mac setup file listed
https://soft.canon-elec.co.jp/ims/r50/en/
Once the scanner is installed, you can download the CaptureOnTouch updated software from the link below;
https://www.usa.canon.com/support/p/imageformula-r50-office-document-scanner
After both files are installed, reconnect the scanner and open CaptureOnTouch and try to scan.
