The Windows 7/8 CanoScan 4400F driver does not work with Windows 11. IS there some way to create a workaround? Does Canon have solutions like creating print servers, using CUPS? Yje CanoScan 4400F is working flawlessly so I hope there is a way to continue to use this scanner. I'm sure Microsoft is working to limit what rpinters and scanners will work with Windows OS.

I have Windows 11 and the 4400F and went to the Canon Europe site and downloaded the latest driver they have, which is 8.1. The driver installed on Win 11, but would not scan using the Scan app or a host of other free apps. VueScan does work, but they want $30. However, if I go into Control Panel>Devices and Printers>Printers & Scanners>More Devices & Printer Settings - it will open the old - Devices and Printers - from WIndows 10. After double-clicking CanoScan (my scanner), I was able to scan the letter size pages to jpg and then use an online jpg to pdf converter to place the scans in one smaller file.
