Canoscan LiDE400 scan return suddenly slow

Hello, 

My first post here, I hope someone can help. I purchased a Canoscan LiDE400 scanner five months ago and it has worked fine...until today. Now, after each scan, the speed of the scanner arm resets much slower (the scans themselves are the same quality).

I've checked the settings and searched the manuals, online troubleshooting, but couldn't find any mention of a similar problem. Also, I haven't changed any of the settings. The slower reset speed really slows down the workflow.

Any help/suggestions are greatly appreciated!

Please contact one of Canon's Technical Support Representatives via phone or chat for assistance with resolving the scanner speed issue you are experiencing. To contact a Technical Support Representative, please use the link below to log into your My Canon account:

https://mycanon.usa.canon.com

Once logged in, click on your CanoScan LiDE 400 and then click on the Product Support button. When that page loads, click on either the Phone Support button or the Chat Support button to access support.
