I just bought a CanoScan LiDE 400 Scanner for my Mac and I can't seem to get it to work. I unlocked the bottom and installed Canon IJ Scan Utility Lite. When I open the program it searches for a bit and then tells me it cannot communicate with the scanner. My computer is relatively new and doesn't have USB ports, so I had to use an adapter. Is this causing it not to work? When I plug it into the computer it appears to have power as the scanner makes noise and the light inside moves up and then back down. However, none of the buttons on the front of the scanner work. Any ideas?
Thanks
