CanoScan LiDE 300 is removing lines from lined paper when scanning it into one document?

Hi, if I scan a single page it's absolutely fine and readable. But when I scan multiple pages at once (so one PDF document can have several pages), it's removing the lines from my lined paper and hence some text with it, and it's making my work unreadable. I need to be able to scan as-is, keeping the lines on the original lined paper, which it can do if I just ask it to scan to one page of a PDF. The problem is when I click 'Document' and have it scan more than one page.

I need to get this fixed to submit university work. Any help greatly appreciated.

So that the Community can help you better, we need to know exactly which operating system is running on your computer (i.e. Windows or macOS, and which version thereof) and which applications you're scanning with. That, and any other details you'd like to give will help the Community better understand your issue!
