CanoScan LiDE 300 How do I scan items smaller than 8.5" x 11"?

SEBASSMAN

Hi,

I have this new scanner and it appears to work well. I am scanning an Item that is smaller that 8.5 x 11.

When I scan it it wants to fill the full page. How do I set the scanner to scan and produce the same size image as the original?

Thanks,

Hi SEBASSMAN,

What version of Windows is installed on your computer?

If you are using a Mac, what version of the macOS is installed?

HI, Its Windows 11 Pro. Not in a hurry just can not find a setting that works.   ????

Hi SEBASSMAN,

Please try using the scangear interface to scan your item.

To do this, please follow these steps:

1.  On your computer, please press the Windows key on your keyboard and the letter R, then let both go.

2.  In the Run window that appears, please type SCANUTILITY.exe and click OK.

3.  In the IJ Scan Utility window, click the ScanGear button.

4.  In the ScanGear window, click the Advanced Mode tab in the upper right hand side.

5.  If Thumbnail mode is enabled, please click this button to disable it.

6.  Click the Preview button in the lower right.

7.  Once the previewed image appears, adjust the dashed cropping lines to the area that you wish to be scanned.

8. Click the Scan button to scan your selected image.
