Using an older Cannon Scanner 9000F. It has worked fine for years, but a recent attempt to scan brought up an internal error code 5,202,54. What is the fix for this?

The CanoScan 9000F is an older model which we have retired. While that means that Canon USA no longer offers direct support for it, your friends here in the Canon Community are welcome to offer suggestions!
