Can't get my ImageFormula DR-G1100 working because the driver doesn't exist on my computer

OK, I'm going to sound like a maroon and I know I'm likely doing something completely boneheaded, but I really can't figure this out.

  1. I just purchased an Imageformula Dr-G1100 scanner and I'm eager to get started with it.
  2. I went to the Canon Support page and downloaded the CaptureOnTouch V4 Pro software.
  3. I run through the setup wizard, and appears to work. (I am on a 64bit Asus laptop (that I just bought yesterday brand new)
  4. I select the default folder for the destination (some very long-complicated folder which I assume is the default built into the wizard
  5. Then three folders show - x64, x84 and setup
  6. I run the setup application. which appears to properly recognize the x64 driver as the appropriate driver because that's all I see it quickly install
  7. When I then open the app, I'm met with a pop up window that asks to select the driver for my first Shortcut.
  8. That pop up window is blank (no drivers to choose from).
  9. When I connect my scanner to the computer, the computer does recognize the scanner but does say there's no driver information.

Any suggestions? PLEASE!

Thank you

Greetings,

Capture on touch 4 supports different types of batch jobs. You need to select a destination on your computer where files will be saved.  This is called a path.  You can use the browse button to navigate to a destination, selecting it as the destination for a scan job.

The most current software available for your scanner is available on its product support portal.

If you need further assistance, It might be best to contact Canon's support. They will be happy to assist you installing your new device. They can be reached at 1-800-652-2666
