Hello,
We developed an application using the Ranger SDK and the CR-190i scanner for users to scan, view and organize documents (including checks). Noting the other supported scanners of the Ranger SDK, we started to test with a smaller scale scanner to give our clients more options. We've started using a CR-L1 scanner, and have noted a significant discrepancy between the accuracy of the MICR read between the two scanners (CR-190i vs CR-L1).
Is it expected for the CR-190i to be more accurate (have less misreads) than the CR-L1 when scanning check MICRs? Do they have different scanning hardware that could explain this discrepancy? If so, is there a better in-between scanner (i.e. lesser than CR-190i but greater than CR-L1) that would have the same MICR reading capability?
Thanks,
Craig C
