XF605 - "Memory Card Not Compatible with Recording Settings" Notice

TomMN

with XF605 (latest firmware 1.0.5.1) using SanDisk Extreme Pro 170MB/s SDXC V30 I U3 10 Cards

I am able to record with the following settings: MP4(H.264) YCC420 8bit, 3840x2160, 23.98P... which has a bit rate listed as 150Mbps.  No memory card message when selecting and works without a problem.

I do, however, get the "memory card not compatible with recording settings" notice with the following settings: XF-AFC YCC422 10bit, 3840x2160 Long GOP, 23.98P... which has a bit rate listed at 160Mbps.  OK, this is a little bit higher than the 150Mbps that works, so maybe just over the limit for the V30 card?

But I also get the same message with these settings: MP4(HEVC) YCC422 10bit, 3840x2160, 23.98P... which has a bit rate listed at only 135Mbps.  This should not be giving me the "memory card not compatible with recording settings" notice, should it? and really should work with the SD cards above?

Thanks in advance for any insights and guidance!

Hello TomMN,

While you are able to use the V30 speed class cards in some very limited capacities, it really is suggested to use at least V60 or better yet V90 speed class cards for full compatibility.
