Hi guys,
after last shooting (i've posted some grab in another discussion) i've decided to get this C500 for me.
I've only one problem, i need to change internal backup battery, I've already tried to keep in charge with AC, nothing changed.
Now, i need to send the camera to official canon assistance or may i do myself?
Thanks.

Hi antonioderosa,
Thanks for checking in with us.
As you suggested, the EOS C500 has a built-in rechargeable lithium battery that stores your settings. It should draw power from the main battery, but if it has been completely depleted because the main battery has disconnected for a few weeks, then you may need to connect the compact power adapter to the camera and then plug into an outlet for 24 hours while the camera is turned off.
If problems persist, I suggest that you email us at cinemaeos@cits.canon.com with details about your camera, your date of purchase, and the state from where you are sending the camera, and we'll walk you through the repair process.
