Hello
I've read about people damaging their camera's HDMI port when powering both the camera and monitor from a v-lock battery, via the D-tap ports. It seems to have something to do with both cam and accessory drawing power from the same source and then also connecting cam and monitor with the HDMI (or SDI) cable.
On Red and Arri, this is an issue with SDI ports too (https://support.red.com/hc/en-us/articles/360057166453-Preventing-Damage-to-SDI-Outputs)
Can anyone shed some light on the correct and safe way to power a Canon Cinema Camera (C70 in my case), and a monitor both from a V-lock battery.
Thank you
