Without a doubt, the R5C is a highly commendable camera; however, I personally find it extraordinarily intricate and a major nuisance when using the C-Log feature. Originally, I purchased the Mark 1V 5D, under the impression that it would enhance my video shooting capabilities. Subsequently, I received a recommendation to acquire the 1X Mark 11, which I promptly did. At the suggestion of a B&H professional, I also purchased the R5C. Nonetheless, I struggle tremendously with video shooting and post-production using this camera. I can't help but wonder what mistakes I may be making.

Greetings,
If you are having difficulties, can you describe these "struggles" (video shooting and post-production) in more detail. What your are using for editing. computer system, Specs, OS, etc. We would be happy to try and help.
The other cameras you mentioned 5D mkIV & the 1DX mkII. How long did you shoot with these body's?

Thank you so much for your kind response. Shooting in C-log is new to me, as I am primarily a music singer and producer who recently expanded into the world of videography by acquiring cameras. Initially, I was considering the Red camera, but the B & H adviser suggested the R5C instead. I took the time to study its settings and took lessons from various sources, including HOFTRA UNIVERSITY.
For my editing and post-production, I rely on Apple M2 Ultra-64 GB-14.2.1 (23C71). Recently, I traveled from New York to Lagos, Nigeria, to shoot a music video. After adjusting the exposures and applying my LUT, specifically BT709_CanonLog3-to-BT709_WideDR_33_FF_Ver.2.0, I was disappointed with the poor video quality. The quality was embarrassingly bad even when I uploaded the video to YouTube. On the other hand, the Mark 1V 5D provided better picture quality.

I bought them and haven't used them. For a first-timer, seeing the picture quality while using the C-log could be challenging. Also, it's a lot to take in for anyone who may not have enough time to do color correction or color grading. After shooting on C2:canon log 3, what Luts should one use to get the color near perfect?

Sorry to hear you're having difficulties. However, I can't really help you with "struggles", because that's not very specific. Like Rick said, if you can provide details of specific issues, maybe we can help.
In terms of using Log, though, maybe I can make some suggestions. Rule number 1 for Log is if you don't know you need it, then you don't need it. Make your life simpler by turning it off.
The R5C has lots of other modes you can shoot. In particular, "BT709 Wide DR" is the "standard". It will come off your camera and work great as is. No fiddling required.
If you actually do need Log, then you should already know how it works. You should know how to get the proper LUTs and apply them in your editor, to correct the footage to BT709, after doing your exposure adjustments. Once again, if you don't know all this, then you don't need Log. Turn it off.
Personally I always shoot Log, and I have no trouble working with it in post. But that's what I'm used to.
Hope this helps a bit.
