Hello! I have a Canon CR-N3OO camera, and I would like to use it to record and edit video files. The canon camera control application no longer seems to support recording, and all the info I have found is about live streaming. How do I go about sending a 4k signal from the camera via the HDMI out port, and ultimately have video files end up on an external HD to be edited later? Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks!

Hey!
So I downloaded OBS Software - it's a free software that allows you to record. Then I used the Canon CR-N300 as a USB camera within OBS. I did this by running an HDMI from the camera to my laptop. You need to use an HDMI input adapter going into the laptop, even if your laptop has an HDMI port - that's for sending a signal out, not receiving.
I used a Stream Deck and Bitfocus Companion to make a little controller as well.
Hope this helps!
