C200 Raw Recording Question

hey guys,

i want to expose clog3 correctly while shooting raw on my c200.

according to canon it needs to be at 34.3%.

however, i do not know if my monitor needs to be set on clog3 or bt709.

so do i judge my image based on clog3 image or bt709 image?

Hi there!

You will want to meter while set to Canon Log 3 in order to expose properly. This will not look normal until you apply a LUT just so you are aware, it will appear very very flat with desaturated color at proper exposure, but this will give you the best results once the image has been processed.
