Hi AvidArtist! Thanks for posting in the Canon Community Forum. I see that you have an imagePROGRAF PRO-300 and you would like to know which setting you should use for your watercolor paper that is 300gsm both textured and smooth.

Canon does not have a paper setting that is specifically designed for watercolor paper. You can contact the paper’s manufacturer to see which Canon paper setting may work best with their paper or if they have created their own ICC color profile that works with the PRO-300.

If they do have an ICC color profile and they help you install it on your computer, we recommend using our Professional Print and Layout program when using that color profile. Please refer to the following pages of the manual for information:

Windows: https://ij.manual.canon/ij/webmanual/ProfessionalPrintLayout/W/CO/EN/PPL/Top.html?manuos=w&os=w&osve...
and: https://ij.manual.canon/ij/webmanual/ProfessionalPrintLayout/W/CO/EN/PPL/ppl-103.html

Mac: https://ij.manual.canon/ij/webmanual/ProfessionalPrintLayout/M/CO/EN/PPL/Top.html?manuos=m&os=w&osve...
and: https://ij.manual.canon/ij/webmanual/ProfessionalPrintLayout/M/CO/EN/PPL/ppl-103.html

If the paper manufacture is unable to recommend one of Canon’s paper settings or if they do not have their own ICC color profile, you can consider one of the suggestions mentioned in the following page of the printer’s manual under the heading titled “Commercially available papers:”

Windows: https://ij.manual.canon/ij/webmanual/PrinterDriver/W/PRO-300%20series/1.0/EN/PPG/dg-c_paper_type.htm...
Mac: https://ij.manual.canon/ij/webmanual/PrinterDriver/M/PRO-300%20series/1.0/EN/PPG/dg-c_paper_type.htm...

Canon does sell both Premium Fine Art Smooth and Premium Fine Art Rough paper. You can check how similar your Watercolor paper is to them. If you think they are a close match, you can try choosing Premium Fine Art Smooth for the Watercolor paper that is smooth and Premium Fine Art Paper Rough for the Watercolor paper that is textured. Please note that we do recommend setting the page size to 4x6 inch, L, or XXX (margin 25) when selecting either of the two Premium Fine Art settings as the Media Type.

I hope this information helps. Thanks again.
