imagePROGRAF PRO-300 Violet ghosting with blue prints and black smudge marks

Hi all.

I have a new Prograf 300. It has been having trouble out of the box.

I do a lot of solid color prints. When I print all blue in darker shades, there is often a violet tint and sometimes violet ghosting. I googled solutions and though I had the problem corrected but it is doing it again. I am wasting a ton of ink.

I am also getting smudge marks along the border of the pages. as wells as these odd blotchy spots in the lower right corner of the actual print. 

The paper I am using is Hahnemühle matt. Maybe I am not using the correct settings?
