Hello,
I leave my Pixma Pro 200s in standby mode to avoid cleaning cycles when switching it on/ off. Normally I print an image every week or every two weeks.
As I read, in standby the printer makes a small cleaning cycle every 120 hours. Where I am not sure is, in case where I print only after several weeks, do I have to print noozle checks say every weekend or are the cleaning cycles in standby mode enough to keep the printer working and avoid clogging.
Best regards

Greetings
Depending on environmental conditions (temperature, humidity) a small cleaning cycle can be enough to keep the printer optimally charged and ready to print. If you notice a degradation in print quality then you have to perform the full nozzle check. The printer is designed this way to provide optimal results. However, this can occasionally use considerable amounts of ink. Many people do just as you describe to conserve ink usage.

Hi Rick,
thank you for your answer. With the small cleaning cycle you mean the automatic one in standby, right?
