I bough the image prograf pro-1000 3 weeks ago, and i didn't print more than 50 picture and i only use canon paper, today i was printing on plus glossy II and the printer head star touching my pictures at the start of the printing on the top left part of the picture and ruining the prints, i already go to settings and made a deep head cleaning and alignment, do you know if i can fix that at home or i have to send the printer to fix

Since it is a new printer my recommendation is bypass the forum and directly contact Canon at (866) 261-9362.

What was the issues at the end? I am having the same problem on my pro-1000 which is out of warranty period already. I found this happen on a specific paper Kodak 4x6 paper, but not the other papers

There's a setting called paper abrasion that often resolves this type of problem. This is an older thread so I'm not sure what the actual cause was.
