Since the B204 error is related to the print head, why after the error the print head is not accessible? I could try to use a print head from a partner and check the functionality of my printer. Instead, I have to send the heavy printer to my service provider!

I have reached out and called this # and after 1 hour on hold, the line hung up on me.

does anyone have any information as to how to replace the print head with this error? I don't want to buy one and then it won't release the printhead for me to change it.

Mike this did NOT quite help. I cannot access the print head or the option to change it because of the B204 error that is coming up. How do I make this error go away?

Hi,

You can unplug the printer and then try to move the print over so you can access it. If you are still unable to access the print head, then the printer would require service. 

If the printer is in it's 1 year warranty, I recommend reaching out to Canon support for your warranty options. You will need to register your Canon gear HERE to access additional support options.
