Trouble finding inks for PIXMA Pro9000 Mark II

I have the 9000 Mk II printer. It works flawlessly. But I'm having a hard time finding original Canon inks for it.

I'm reluctant to use non-Canon inks, because of a bad experience at work, with the 36" HP plotter. Non-HP ink was used, with one of them leaking into the plotter.

Has Canon given up on 9000 MkII inks? Are there non-Canon inks that are equal and as reliable as the Canon inks?
