RIP for imagePROGRAF 1100 that controls ink limits or workaround

Greetings,

I am not aware of a RIP for the Canon 1100 that allows to modify the ink limits assigned to each paper type or that can bypass these limits and allow one to increase the ink delivered by each channel. Am I correct?

Does anybody know of a workaround that can deliver higher black densities? I am exploring the use of the 1100 on  digital negatives and even on a Pictorico OHP Transparency Film I cannot get more than D=1.65 (selecting Glossy II A). I used for years the Epson/QTR combination but for a number of reasons I wanted to buy the 1100, and I like it a lot. If I could just get some more black deposition on transparency film ...

Thanks!

Cheers

Marco

None I am aware of.  I was going to suggest the Canon Developer Community, but I don't see anything for printers listed.  There is no slider for increasing single ink delivery.  Maybe you can change the print quality from standard to high which may throw more black ink down?  Best guess 🤔

Hi, I haven’t looked this up to verify, but I think I saw that function available when installing a new paper profile, and when editing an existing profile. I suggest investigating this.
