Problems printing black and white on third-party paper with a Pro100

I have been very happy with color printing with red river papers and other third party papers using ICC profiles. However, with black and white printing it's a completely different experience.  I have used canon papers with the printers canon settings in black and white with no problem.  However, no matter how I print with third party papers, black and white images come out with a green cast.  I have tried, ICC profiles non black printing, I have also tried "black printing, using the printer to control settings (non ICC profiles).

Can anyone let me know how to get a neutral result with third party papers?  Ie what settings 1) media choice, 2) use icc settings or not) 3) set black and white printing etc.

I am looking to print on a smooth, soft, matt paper.

It’s tough getting pure B&W prints. The type of viewing lighting also affects the image. Look for papers without OBAs and view under daylight.
