Hi - My Pro-200 is 2 1/2 years old and started printing white stripes. I've tried EVERYTHING. Including taking the print head out and cleaning it by hand thoroughly and letting it dry overnight. Lines are still there. Network connection is solid. Do I just throw the whole darn thing out?? So very disappointed!!!!!!!! Any advice welcome. Thanks, all!!

Can you post a phone photo of the nozzle check pattern?

Did you try having the printer do a nozzle cleaning?
I don’t know what the nominal print head lifetime is.
Can you post a photo of an actual print?
Did you contact Canon support?

Yes, multiple nozzle cleanings. Yes, contacted support. They were no help. Here is a sample of what it's doing.

A resource you might try is the jtoolman printing page on Facebook. "Jtoolman Photo Printing Techie"

Thanks, John. The more research I do between the 2 printers, the more undecided I become - hahaha. I KNOW the Canon 200 is solid and has worked flawlessly up till now, whereas the Epson is an unknown entity.
I also have seen that there is a life span to the printer, and since I print A LOT of cards (e.g. I did 100 just last week), I think I may have tapped out the life span with close to 6000 prints on the counter. SO SAD that that is all you can get out of this investment (!), but oh well. Built -n obsolesce keeps the tech world turning I guess.
I will probably just buy another Pro-200 because it is a known entity, works with the paper that I have in inventory, and like I said has been really solid until now. I have to say that I HATE supporting Canon again due to this issue, so hope you guys are reading this!!!!
Thanks again, John, for your input and help! If anyone else has thoughts, pls chime in, as I need to make a decision to get more cards printed ASAP for clients for Valentine's Day.
Cheers,
Kate

Maybe a replacement head will solve the problem.
