After having my Pro9000 mk ii on a shelf for a while I took it out to print some photos and the photos looked like crap. After multiple attempts at replacing ink cartidges and cleaning the print head... no improvement was gained.
I then REPLACED the print head. Still no CMY printing.
I then replaced ALL of the ink cartridges. Still no CMY printing.
When I do a "Print Test Page" I get no colors printed on the CMY side of the page.
I checked and all of the contact pins that make contact with the printhead are alligned and not bent.
I have performed additional CLEANING functions and still no CMY printing.
Any thoughts?
The printer used to work perfectly and has been well cared for. I hate to trash it... but if I do I'll buy a large format Epson... like most pro's use.
Any thoughts?
Thanks!
Dave

When Canon is running the rebate deal on Pro-100 printer (see Fred Miranda site Canon forum) it’s not worth trying to fix an older printer if you need ink or a print head.

Hi jimfun71,
If the issue is not resolved after performing the nozzle cleanings, the printer will need to be replaced since repair service is no longer provided for this model.
