Pixma Pro 100 - Can I take apart a printhead to clean it?

I know this printer is almost an antique, but, like many, I can't afford a replacement printer. The head clogged up on it recently and I soaked it in Windex for a couple days, flushed it out and it worked fine. However, a week later it stopped printing on group 1 again. I tried the Windex trick again but with no results. I soaked it again for a few more days, used a syringe to gently suck out and clogs but still no result. Print heads aren't cheap so I figure 'what the heck, I might take the print head apart and manually clean it' Has anyone on the the board ever taken apart a print head for cleaning, or to simply see how a print head is built? (yes, I would do that if the head was determined to be bad) What are some precautions I might want to take?
