I'm looking at you, Legend... I have a Pixma Pro-100, and it's been in a closet for probably 5 years or more, just didn't have the need/space for it. Between 51-100 pages on it, which I discovered when printing an alignment test on it today. (The test turned out great, btw.) My problem, that I've been working on for about 6.5 hours now, is that it will not feed photo paper, from either the manual or rear tray. It will feed normal paper, which tells me there is no jam, but will not feed Canon Photo Paper Plus Glossy 8.5 x 11, or 5 x 7.
I have done a ton of combing through potential solutions, and this is the current setup:
I'm on a Mac, running Sequoia 15.6
Have updated the firmware to 2.041, which is the latest
Am not using the Air version of the printer under the Printer settings, but rather Canon PRO-100 series (00.bb.c1.b2.5c.31), as was recommended
Have connected the printer to the Mac wirelessly
Have not run any roller cleaning, it's been covered in the closet, which is rarely gone into, and like I said was able to print fine with regular paper
Downloaded Easy-PhotoPrint Editor, and have been using that in my attempts
I have the type of photo paper selected correctly
When kicking off the print on photo paper, there is all the normal clicking, and the feed mechanism seems to want to grab the paper, but doesn't, and I get the two amber flashes, signifying a paper feed issue. Earlier in the day, before I did all the available downloads for the printer, there would be an error message in the Easy-PhotoPrint Editor, stating that was no paper. That doesn't come up anymore, but the light is still flashing, no printing is happening, and the progress window in the app states the job is underway, or in progress.
Help, and TIA.

No magic bullet, but a few thoughts.
I have found that sometimes the paper detect switch is fussy and doesn't always detect paper. Jiggling the paper can help.
Rubber can dry out and harden. I would recommend trying roller cleaning to see if that can help. Photo paper is less grippy than plain paper.

Well, I finally got the Pro-100 to print. I found out that the printer is almost 8 years old, bought on 10/10/17. Wow.
Hard to say what the final fix was, as I tried quite a few things, but worth mentioning:
- I did check the Detect Paper Width box, in the Custom Settings area of the Printer Utility. As described by Canon, this isn't a physical piece of hardware doing the detection, but rather an option in the software. It was unchecked when I first found it, and checking it might have helped.
- I did clean the rollers, but got confused by the Rear and Manual naming convention, so had to do the Rear twice, the first time with three sheets of paper in the Manual loader, which didn't do what I thought it would, as might be expected, then again after I figured out what was what. I probably didn't need to do the Rear cleaning the second time, but by this time, I was checking all the boxes, crossing my fingers, and reciting the alphabet backwards...
I suspect those two things, along with all the updating of the drivers and understanding of the way this thing works, got me over the finish line. Thanks!
