I have a the above printer, that has been sitting, never used for many years.
I have used a different one of the same model in the past.
But when I go looking for ink for this, I cannot find full sets of CLI ink, and have only been able to see 7 of the 8 necessary cartridges.
I do fear that even if I were to somehow locate the 8th, once one of the cartridges empties oy, I will once again be left high and dry.
Do people have any suggestion, or should I just give up on this printer?

Hi, JimBenson! You can order individual ink cartridges and full sets for your PIXMA Pro9000 Mark II directly from Canon USA. Just go HERE to place your order.
Hope this helps!

Hi Danny,
Thank you for your reply.
When I do go here, there are smaller sets, and as individual cartridges, I only see 7 of the 8. I believe the red is miossing.
I believe that I saw an announcement that Canon was no longer supporting this printer, and I'm concerned that this is at the heart of my difficulty in sourcing complete sets, both now and in the future.
I do flunk the internet all the time, and if I missed something at that link, I'd be grateful for you pointing it out, but as far as I can see, I can't get a full set of 8 there, either individually, or as a pack.

I have posted on this forum a few days ago about the fact my Canon 9000 has suddenly stopped working. Unless I can revive it (noone has responded to the post) I am going to be left with a lot of unused and very expensive ink cartridges. If you are still looking for some, let me know.

I might be.
I had made the decision to simply give up on the 9000 and buy a complete set of inks for a different printer that were more expensive, but had a sustainable supply chain.
My thought process was that, even though I finally found a complete set, investing in it only to run out of one of the irreplaceable cartridges was financially imprudent.
If you want to let me know what you have, and what you want for it, that might or might not work.
In any event, thank you for getting back to me.
