Hello Everyone,
my name is Valerio (I'm from the UK) and I'm new to the forum. I recently bought a Pixma Pro-1 and I'm extremely pleased with the results I onbtained so far. After many prints, I got a message from the printer driver saying that the Chroma Optimazer is running low and the ink may run out if I continue prinitng (Support Code 1600). I ignored the message, kept printing and after 20 high quality A4 prints, the ink doesn't seem to have run out yet.
My question is: does the printer actually stop prinitng when a cartridge eventually runs out? I expect so, but I don't want to make any silly assumption and break my expensive printer! For what I've read on various sites online, it does appear that the printer will stop, but I'd rather have confirmation that it's actually the case, from other owners of the same printer.
I look forward to hearing from you!
Kind Regards,
Val

The PRO-100 stops, so I would assume the Pro-1 does as well.
