I'm trying to install a 9000F Mark ii i a laptop without an optical drive. I'm running into two problems.
First, I can only install drivers but no programs to scan. The Quick Menu only picks up the scanner on my printer (MG7700) and can't find the 9000F.
Second, I can't find any support on any other programs I can use to scan with the 9000F.
I may be able to get access to a dvd drive over my home network by sharing from a desktop, but that would be tricky too.
Thanks for any help,
Ted

Hi prototed,
The CanoScan 9000F Mark II uses the IJ Scan Utlity.
If you are using Windows, please click on the Start button (then All Programs in Windows 7) and then the Canon Utilities folder to access this program.
For Mac, from the Go menu of Finder, please open the Applications folder. The Canon Utilities folder will be located here.

The Utility doesn't see my 9000F, just the MG7720. Windows shows the 9000F as an installed device, but not the Scan Gear piece of the Utility.
Thanks,
Ted
