imageRUNNER ADVANCE C7565i Trouble Updating Address Book

jljones
Apprentice

Hello,

I recently started a new job as a Systems Administrator. My first task is to update the address book on our four Canon Advance ImageRUNNER C7565 copiers. No one here knows where the manuals are. I found online manuals, but they do not answer my questions.

I have an updated CSV file that contains all current employees. The current address books on the copiers have not been updated in 3 years.

I am looking for step-by-step instructions on how to export and import addresses.

Also, when you import from a CSV file does the import overwrite the current addresses or just add to them?

Lastly, is it better to import\export at the copier or remote into the copier from a laptop?

Thank you very much.

Hi Jljones,

Thanks for posting! While our forum community members are welcome to chime in, Canon does not provide direct support for imageRUNNER series products. Instead, your dealer will be able to help you! If you don't have a dealer and you're in the United States, please call us at 1-800-OK-CANON (1-800-652-2666) and we will be happy to provide you with the names of dealers in your area.

If you're outside the USA, visit http://global.canon and choose your country or region from the map for local support.

We hope this helps!

Greetings,

I believe most image runners allow mass import and export into their address books.  (Manual method)

They also support LDAP Sync.  This is what we use.  Users are then automatically added or removed from the address book when their user object is added or removed from Active Directory.

If you are experiencing difficulty, contact your dealer as suggested.
