imagePROGRAF iPF6000S won't print after ink and paper

I own a old canon ipf6000s, to be able to print i used my super-old mac. Now my old mac wont start.

I was able to print with another old mac, not sure how, but it worked, for a while. Then the grey ink needed replacement, now after changing the cartridge and loading a new roll of paper i cant print at all. Everything looks fine but the printer doesnt react when i print something. I use a usb.

This is the mac i have:

10.11.6

Osx el capitan

What can i do? is there any way around this?

Greetings,

Is the printer in an error state?

If not, I'd remove the device from my Printers and Scanners Applet (-) minus button.  Following this I would uninstall its drivers from the applications folder.  Now disconnect the USB cable.

Then restart my MAC.

Now visit the support portal and download a fresh copy if its driver for ElCapitan

Canon Support for imagePROGRAF iPF6000S | Canon U.S.A., Inc.

Run the installer and connect the printer when prompted.
